Set in the heart of South West Donegal, you’re just a short walk to Kilcar village, with some of Donegal’s most spectacular scenery, beaches and walking trails from your doorstep.
Step inside from the wild beauty of Donegal and you’ll find a warm, inviting living, dining and kitchen space where couples can enjoy time together. Put on your favourite show or listen to some music, prepare dinner together, get spoiled — or do the spoiling.
The kitchen has full-sized appliances, making meals feel easy. Dine together. Cozy up in comfort.
The bedroom and en-suite are accessed via an internal staircase with a bespoke metal handrail. Upstairs, you’ll find a spacious bedroom with a super-king bed (2m / 6ft wide), plenty of space for your belongings and everything you need to get ready comfortably, including a full-length mirror, hairdryer and dressing table with seating.

✰ You’ll be staying on an elevated site, surrounded by green fields and beautiful nature.
You can walk to the beaches (it takes 25-30 mins), explore the coastal inlets or hike Croagh Muckross...ALL without getting into the car!
✰ There are designated walks in all directions from the village, and the one which passes by the accommodation takes in the world-famous Hills of Donegal, provides you with a rare and almost unknown angle of Slieve League, Donegal Bay and the Atlantic all in one shot.

To really make the most of the outdoors, book your eBikes or regular bikes through Ireland-By-Bike, which can be delivered for your arrival.
》𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗬 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦: 5 minute drive (or a 25-30 min walk)
Just 5 minutes to the nearest sandy beach, 6-8 minutes to another and under 10 minutes to a Blue-Flag Beach. ✰ The beautiful Silver Strand (the one with the all the steps) is under 25 minutes. ✰ There are a myriad of other beaches for you to explore, even with caves and some with super high sand dunes.

Create even more memories by taking a boat trip beneath Bunglas and Slieve League cliffs. Or, a Wild Atlantic Cruise from Killybegs.

While a car is recommended, we’ve had several guests who’ve enjoyed walking and cycling around the area. In-depth info is provided to you in your GuestApp so you can organise transport/excursions with ease.

Bicycles and eBikes can be hired locally and delivered for free — previous guests have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of exploring the area by bike.

Both Bus Éireann and the Local Link bus service can take you to Kilcar village. The GuestApp provides helpful info on this.

There are very reliable taxi services in the area.
》BY FOOT
The Kilcar Way Walk passes by the accommodation, and there are several other walks/hikes in the locality.
》DONEGAL AIRPORT
You can also fly to Donegal with Aer Lingus from Dublin or Logan Air from Glasgow, which is really convenient as it's just 68km to the airport. If you decide to fly here, you need to arrange car hire in advance by contacting the airport.
》BOAT
There are sight-seeing boat trips in the area that previous guests have thoroughly enjoyed.
There is planning permission and a fire safety certificate to rent this cottage — providing comfort and safety is a priority.
